The LouCity & Racing Foundation is committed to ensuring that soccer is accessible to all kids, regardless of their financial circumstances. Through community partnerships with schools and youth service providers, the foundation uses soccer to give young people a safe place and the opportunity to dream, thrive, and succeed.

Each year, they host the Soccer Ball, a fundraiser that supports their mission. In 2025, KERTIS partnered with the foundation to develop a short sizzle reel to kick off the evening’s activities, as well as a longer storytelling piece highlighting the impact of their work.

In the storytelling piece, we meet Yasir, a 13-year-old Afghan immigrant whose participation in LouCity programs, and in the game of soccer itsel, illustrates the foundation’s mission in action. His youthful personality and perspective guide the narrative, serving as the focal point that showcases how mentorship, support, and opportunity have shaped his life and relationships beyond the field.
